Tech Toledo is an idea that’s been waiting to happen for quite some time.
This particular site and organization grew from a back-of-the-napkin outline that Stuart Bertsch and Keith Instone put together at a local Panera over coffee. Stuart and Keith met at, and got their master’s from, BGSU’s computer science graduate school, let’s just say, awhile ago.
Keith works locally at IBM and has always been very connected to the local tech community. Stuart had been consulting in IT for close to two decades and is currently working to create an eCommerce web business.
Tech Toledo is a community where IT professionals can have the opportunity to meet each month to make connections to people they’ve worked with in the past and make new connections to people at other local companies.
Another purpose for Tech Toledo is to celebrate the technological innovation that is happening in Toledo and northwest Ohio. We bring local companies to our meetings to share just how innovative and cutting-edge our region is…right now!
We are working with other professionals in the area to make Tech Toledo the place to be for web designers, programmers, IT professionals, industrial technology designers and any other professional whose job has them in the technology trenches. We ask that you help promote Tech Toledo by downloading our flyer and posting it to your company’s bulletin board and/or forwarding it (or this URL) on to others that might be interested in Tech Toledo.
We look forward to seeing you at the next Tech Toledo gathering!
Stuart & Keith
PS: Tech Toledo is run purely by volunteers and with donations. If you would like to help, donate or be involved send an email to info@techtoledo.net.
